FAQs

Can I use these templates with Mailchimp, FloDesk, ClickFunnels, Shopify Email, and other email marketing platforms?

YES: These are flat image files which all email marketing platforms support. All your templates will be accessible via Canva, where you can update the content and export in a file type best supported by your email provider (usually JPG, PNG, or GIF). You won't have to worry about coding these templates in HTML at all.

Are the layouts responsive?

No, but they are mobile-optimized. After 13 years of designing emails we have found that the best-performing emails have body copy around the 18-22px mark on desktop (which might feel a touch big if you're not used to it!) as most emails are now opened on mobile devices. The font size can be changed by you, depending on your brand fonts size, x-height, and weight variability for readability on mobile.

The templates are flat fixed images, the layout will NOT change on mobile. Some of the layouts you CAN replicate with Klaviyo special layouts, but these are HTML and not included in this template library.

Do I have control over the colors, elements, and layouts?

Yes. Whether you pick the Canva or Figma templates as your preferred editor, you can change the branding and appearance of EVERY element on the canvas.

Will my template image based emails affect my deliverability and spam rate?

Maybe - it depends. SPAM related messages are more likely related to not having a proper sending domain setup, using language in your emails and subject lines that trip spam filters, and not using ALT text in your image that marks it as safe. We also see some merchants not compressing their images making them very large to deliver to most email inboxes, which can be a spam trigger. Always take those fundamental precautions before using image-only emails.

Can I mix and match the email layouts?

Yes. Each Canva template provided is a single-section layout so we don't encourage you to overdo it, or stick to a prescribed layout for your email. We recommend using 1 section along with some real text, or mixing and matching some sections for decision support. It's totally up to you!

With the Figma templates, we have the layouts provided to you in full top-to-bottom emails, but you can (and should!) export each section individually before uploading to your flow or campaign message.
